Are you doing any excessive DPI with your controller?
As mentioned TAC should be your No. 1 go-to resource to identify the root cause of this. Otherwise, you would be only guessing why this happens.
Independently from that, 8.2.2.1 has recently earned the Conservative Release (CR) tag and therefore I recommend looking at upgrading your controller to this release: https://www.arubanetworks.com/support-services/end-of-life/arubaos-software-release/
