We are looking to do an outdoor deployment with AP175's and I was wondering what is the recommend maximum amout of  associated devices on the AP175.

We are expecting that the majority of the devices will be smartphones

Same guidance as all Aruba APs in terms of capacity - recommended 150 associated users per radio/300 per AP.  50 concurrent users per radio/100 per AP.   Max is 255 per radio / 510 per AP.

AP175 hardware is functionally equivalent to an AP105.

Only thing to be careful of outdoors is that farther clients may be connecting at lower rates due to distance or multipath environment.  This may result in lower overall channel capacity as compared with indoor operation.

I would say it depends on what you are doing with the AP... it always depend on what kind of traffic is managing the users....

If for example they are managing a internal program of the company that comsume a lot of BW then the number that chuck says would be way less i think...

So it always DEPENDS

Chuck so it means that the AP 135 got better hardware than the AP 175?

yes of course.  AP135 is 3 spatial stream whereas AP175 / AP105 is 2 spatial stream.

Also the CPU and memory are better.
