The boot log does not show the AP finding its master.

Who is the master controller for this AP?

How is the AP set up to discover the master controller?

If you have a single AP, the model number on the sticker must say IAP-325, otherwise it cannot operate by itself.  You would need a separate hardware controller to work with an AP-325.

Right now it's an APusing ArubaOS 6.4.0.0

If you are unsure whether it's an AP or IAP, hard reset the AP.

If it is an IAP variant , it should come back up as an IAP.

This is an AP only variant.

It says ap325 from the image shared. Also it's model is APIN 0325.Thus it needs a controller for it to come up.

    Hey all

Thank you so much for the answer, how can i do now if i want to get the controleur, i read in the net i can use AirWave with VM  to controle my AP 325, my question is how to download this for free and where i can download it, i buy this AP 325 very expensive for me

    Thanks

What is your requirement for the network?

A controller based AP also requires a license bundle to be purchased additionally for the AP to be used whether it is virtual or hardware based controller.

To use airwave to control the AP , You would first need a standalone MM setup or a MM-MD setup with SNMP&SSH enabled to the airwave server, this just calls for more licenses (MM-VA, MC-VA).

If you just want a wifi device that you can plug a ethernet cable with internet access to and get started, then i'd say swap the AP to an IAP Variant.

hey  my requirement is juste one access point that i can broadcast one ssid, with my AP 325 i cannot configure that because th AP need a controler, before i work with IAP 515  and  IAP 315 those categorie does't need a controleur and i can easly create, but with AP325 i can't do anything,

can i swap the AP to an IAP for this same physical model , because i just want a wifi devide that i plug a ethenet cable with internet access .

    thank's

If that is your requirement then an IAP is a better way to go.

Contact your reseller/partner and enquire about changing the AP to an IAP.

I have the same access point with the same firmware  ArubaOS version 6.4.4.0-wave2 for 32x (p4build@cyprus) (gcc version 4.6.3 20120201 (prerelease) (Linaro GCC 4.6-2012.02) ) #49847 SMP Thu Apr 30 14:49:32 PDT 2015

I connect it to the controller 8.6.0.4, the AP downloads the firmware and goes into reboot, after rebooting, when I try to adopt, I get an error: Сan not reprovision AP with older image until it upgrades. and every 2 to 3 minutes downloads the firmware and  keep on reboot

    how to update the AP?
