    Hello,

Does anyone know approximately what is the strength signal distance (coverage distance) in an indoor omni directional AP?

Cisco Meraki has a link that mention it: https://documentation.meraki.com/MR/WiFi_Basics_and_Best_Practices/Access_point_range_and_signal_strength_maximization

"Barring physical obstruction and radio interference, Cisco Meraki access points equipped with omnidirectional antennas typically reach 100 meters."

Is there something like this in Aruba?

    Regards,

    Carlos

I would use an RF planning tool, like Airwave VisualRF for indoor, or Aruba Outdoor Planner for outdoor to do estimates and calculations on AP coverage and signal strengths.

Those tools can take care of obstructions, and interference as well and will give a much better indication of coverage, achievable speed, capacity.

Many of our partners provide professional site-survey and WLAN design services, which are more recommended than guessing and estimations.

    Understood.

    Thank you Herman.
