My organization purchased two addition controllers to put in our chassis. My plan is to make them local controllers. My master is running 6.1.3.9 and I'm sure the others are a lower version of code but I haven't installed them yet.

Should I bring up the new controllers as masters and upgrade them to the same code level then change them to locals or can I bring them up as locals and do the upgrade them then.

both methods will work for u.

my adivse..first be sure to have the same AOS on your new controllers...and then add them as locals.

Thanks, I have the first one online and it is running 6.1.3.4. I'll plan on upgrading it before I put it on the network then add it as a local.
