    Hi all,

I am trying to create a new building in VisuslRF but it keeps displaying this error -

    Internal service error.

    Service [event] failed to start

    (Screenshot attached)

    Any idea why?

Please upgrade. There are a lot of fixes in the newer versions. Latest release is 8.2.8.3

That would be too disruptive, anyone else any ideas?

In the first instance check the VisualRF service is running (System> Status). If it is not/stuck you can also restart the AMP Services from this same page. Does VisualRF have enough resources configured, if you have been increasing floor plans, buildings etc within VisualRF then you may need to allocate more resources. If this is a VM make sure it is built to spec.

Disable visualrf engine from VisualRFSetup page and wait for few minutes for service to stop.

    #psg java

look for Visualrf_startup.sh service, once it stop and not listing. Remove visualrf bootstrap file

    # rm /var/airwave/cache/visualrf_bootstrap

    Restart the engine

Parallel check system>performance page for RAM/CPU usages, if system completely utilizing memory and start using swap then we need to check what service taking more resources and need to increase resources if it is not assinged as per server hardware guide recommandation.

Always recommanded to stay on latest code !

Not sure of the direct cause, but stopping and starting the VisualRF service worked.

Thanks for the help and suggestions.

I would be looking into visualrf logs first. It should give you more info on the error.
