    Hi,

for my first post here I have this qestion :

We recently configure Airwave to try it with our network :

    2 MM-1K (Master-Backup) with a cluster of 2 MD (MC7210)

We are using AirWave 8.2.8.2 and ArubaOs 8.3.0.6

In the MC cluster, we activate AP load balancing and Client load balancing, but AirWave only show ~50% of the client. It only show client which are associated with the Active Controller of the AP.

For example, if a take a look at the client list of an AP in Airwave it show around 30 clients associated with our controller #2, if the Active controller of the AP is the #2 but no client associated to the controller #1.

But if a look at the same AP in the MM Master, I see a total of 60 clients (30 associated to controler #1 and 30 associated to controller #2)

Do you have an idea where I have to dig to fix this ?

    thanks for your support

Are you seeing same clents or different client on controller #1?  Normally one AP can not be terminated on two controllers at same time, may be those clients are stale entereis cross check once and also try poll controller#1 from Devices>monitor page in Airwave.

    Hi Pavan,

I'm seeing the same clients, but at one AP I'm only able to see client attached to the same controller as the AP. Clients attached to controller #2 through an AP attached to controller #1 are not reported in Airwave.

I'm wondering if the problem cmoe from Airwave configuration or ArubaOs configuration.

    thanks for your support

It is expected behaviour, if clustering is enabled. APs can randomly terminated on any controller depend on load and client will show on controller where AP is associated and also it standby.

I would recoommand to check client count from MM.

    Good.

If I take a look at client count of one of our AP (AP1), I have clients on both controllers, but Airwave only show clients from one the controller (the one the AP terminate on). Is this expected ?

    thanks for your time

Yes, it is expected, you check the flag of client which is showing on standby controller.

    Hi Pavan,

On one of my AP (which the active controller is #2) I have 18 clients linked to controller #1 and 12 clients linked to controller #2. Airwave only show the 12 clients on controller #2 in the monitoring of the AP.

How do I check the client's flag and what do we expect ?

    thanks for your support

    http://h20628.www2.hp.com/km-ext/kmcsdirect/emr_na-c05321928-1.pdf

    check for

    #show ap debug client-table ap-name <nameof ap>

    #show ap client status <mac addrress>

    #showap client trail-info[<client-mac>]

18 clients on controller1 includes the 12 clients of controller2 where AP is associated right?

remaining 6 might be stale entry, you can check through above commands.

    It is expected behaviour!

    If I use

    #show ap debug client-table ap-name <nameof ap>

I see the total of 30 clients.

I confirm that the 12 clients of controller 2 are not include in the 18. They are all unique mac address.

I'll take a look at the result of the others command.
