Aruba 9000 OSPF Capabilities

    Is the Aruba 9000 series in controller mode capable to run OSPF ?

     

    * the 9000 not mentioned in the user guide, in case it capable to run ospf

    please advice if it there any limitations like:

    - areas

    - route records

    - load sharing traffic across multi routes with the same cost .

    Hi.

     

    Yes. 9004 controllers support OSPF.

    There is no documented maximum OSPF numbers for this model yet, but I would consider the numbers described for the 7005/7008 models.

    just checking is that supported in the Controller Mode ?

     

    and do you know if it capable to preform load sharing across few routes in this in this mode ?

    Yes. It will work on controller mode.

    I haven't found documentation yet with numbers to know about the maximum number of paths, but I am certain that OSPF ECMP will  allow you to load balance the traffic across same cost links.
