Hello, can someone explain me, why arubaOS 8.4.0.3  version is latest version of ArubaOS but not the  8.5  ArubaOS version at

Is these are just mistaked dates?

Or something  is wrong with ArubaOS 8.5 version?

 

8.4 and 8.5 are worked on in parallel. So it's not uncommon for a patch to be released for a previous version which then makes it the latest released AOS.

The latest version is not necessarily the latest code train.

I may be wrong here... but

I'm pretty sure ASP displays based on when the files were released, Aruba maintains multiple versions at once

i.e, they release new versions of (I believe) 6.5, 8.2,8.3,8.4 and 8.5 all at the same time, so it just happened that 8.4.0.3 was the most recent file added, not that it's more recommended over another version

As James and Chris mentioned, 8.4.0.3 (maintenance release to 8.4.0.0) was released after 8.5.0.0 which makes it chronologically more recent. If a patch to 6.5.4.x was released tomorrow, it then would be chronologically more recent.

If you are using the new 500 series APs, I would recommend 8.5 over 8.4.x.x. There are a lot of issues with 8.4 with speed and connection and some of those have been resolved in 8.5, however there are plenty of bugs in 8.5 as well.
