What worked for me on a 7005 controller that had similar issues; be warned that you might 'brick' your controller:
- Connect to the controller serial console
- Power off, Power on the controller
- Press Enter to access the cpboot prompt (note that some controllers have a 'press enter to interrupt boot' moment before cpboot, so make sure you are in the cpboot> promt. If not start over and interrupt at the second 'press enter' prompt.
- Enter the command: format 0:2
- Enter the command: reset

The format 0:2 will wipe the 'ancillary FS' and have it recreated at the next reboot. It should be harmless, but I cannot take responsibility if you break or brick your controller.

Subject: ArubaOS VMC Initial Install - Stuck on Initializing FPAPPs
Hi , same error here on Aruba 9004 LTE someone know how to fix that?
I tried to reset the device but seems that the reset button doesn't work at all , after the stuck initializing or just after the power on.

Subject: ArubaOS VMC Initial Install - Stuck on Initializing FPAPPs
I'm attempting to install ArubaOS VMC but the installer hangs on Initializing FPAPPs everytime. There are no error messages. It just sits there. Any ideas?
