I have deployed about 27 IAP135s, and regulate my ARM Power within 12 and 18. Unfortunately there are always very sudden and frequent drop in the connection which i cannot explain why.

I checked the status of a client which was showing this behaviour very often and got this information (as attached)

Can you tell me why the clients drop the connection or is deleted (as said by the status) and you have a work around for that?

    regards.

It looks like you have mobility enabled ?

My question is when the user roams between APs are adjacents APs on different controllers using different VLANs?

    Hi,

    Thanks for the quick repkly.

The clients are in the same vlan, because i have deployed just 1 vlan at the moment. APs are on just 1 master controller.

    Should mobility be disabled?

    thanks

    Just to be sure,

is this the setting you mean (find attached)? To deactivate IP Mobility?

Can you kindly enlighten me on how it causes those problems?

    regards

I can't really see if it is enabled on the screenshot you posted ?

Also IP Mobility is enabled on the VAP

The reason you don't need IP Mobility is because you only have one controller and your APs are attached to the same controller with Clients using the same VLAN.

One of the reason behinds using IP mobility is in the case you have two AP-Groups or Two controllers with different VLANs in the VAP and users will be roaming between those and you want the IP address to be consistent and in thats when IP mobility will help you

In this link explains it better:
