    Hello

I have been trying to migrate our working config from version 6.5.x.x to AOS 8.0.1 in a virtual MM and a spare controller. We did not use the migration tool, as that was too limited in how we wanted our new setup to be designed.

I cannot get external DHCP to work (the DHCP server is the same as the 6.5 is running on). Only when I use the internal DHCP does my clients (using a 335 AP) get a DHCP adresses. However, the limit of 8k adresses makes this unusable for us.

I am getting the following log entry when I enable external DHCP:

PAPI_Send: sendto DHCP Server failed: Connection refused Message Code 0 Sequence Num is 32310

Do you have in place an IP helper address pointing to your dhcp server under that layer 3 VLAN on your uplink switch ?

    Hi Victor

Yes, there are IP helpers configured on the controller.

One of them is even on the same subnet as the controller itself.

    Best regards
