    Hello everyone!

I'm interested in studying Aruba Wi-Fi AP, but i couldn't understand one thing.

Does APIN315 NEED to be plugged directly in Aruba 7000 Series Mobility Controllers or can it be used through third-party switch with PoE (i have Juniper 4300)?

Is there any option of controller on Virtual machine that i could use alongside with hardware, that i already have or do i need to buy a controller(for example, ARUBA 7005 mobility controller)?

APIN0315 is the regulatory model number, not the AP model.

You may have a controller based AP-315 (which requires a controller), or an IAP-315-xx which operates without a controller (Aruba Instant).

Both share the same hardware and RMN.

An Ap-315 cannot be converted to IAP-315.
