     can we power on AP and let it configure itself?

    Yes. It is called Aruba Activate.

    The APs that support this are Instant APs...no Campus APs already existing can support this activate method.  In terms of Instant, you can order them from the factory and convert them to Campus APs and note that some RAPs are sent out now as Instant APs (RAP3 and 155).

     

    I guess a bit more info is needed to understand what you actually need and want
