Hi , I would like to calrify a basic query which may be very simple .

If i have an AP - dual band dual radio . It is associated VAP which is broadcasting a single ssid with only a vlan . for example vlan 1. How many GRE tunnel will it form with controller?

I am in assumption as it will have two BSSID as it has radio. Two GRE tunnel each one for a BSSID . Is my understanding correct?

    ArubaOS_6.1 Guide

"An AP opens a GRE tunnel to the controller for each radio interface."

If there two VAP with dual-band AP, so how many GRE tunnel will be contruct?  2 ? or 5?.

my assumption is 5 GRE tunnel:

            2 ssid + 2 radio + 1 keepalive = 5 , is this correct?

    any idea...

With AOS 6 or AOS 8 standalone, AOS 6 or 8 with HA, or with AOS 8 with the APs terminated on a cluster?

Since 6.1 documentation was mentioned, I will answer relating to that.

There is a GRE per SSID per radio, along with a GRE for that AP heartbeat. If you have the 2nd Ethernet port enabled on your AP, then there is an additional GRE for the Ethernet port traffic.

    I hope this helps,
