    Hi,

Am hoping someone can shed some light on this issue, I have a 2540 switch managed via Aruba central, some days back we noticed the switch kept going offline, on checking the event log we got a message stating " cfgrestore: configuration restore is initiated ", this wasn't initiated by any of the admins, the process carried on for a couple of hours then stopped, what would make the switch automatically initiate a config restore?

    Thanks.

Maybe there is an automatic rollback scheduled job or alias command (that is using the cfg-restore command)?

Have you checked the command history to understand if it was typed by a manager or not?

Try to gather information about cfg-restore discovered executions with show cfg-restore status and debug cfg-restore CLI commands.

the cfg-restore mode is enabled, is that best practice as I don't remember enabling it. Its also enabled on the other switches, linked to aruba central.
