We had an Aruba wireless network installed back in September 2010 and have been very impressed up until this point - touch wood!!

As with many Schools right now, iPads are a very hot topic and I am basically looking at the possibility of releasing as many as 800 iPads on to the network. At the time of install we added scope for the growth of a netbook scheme, but it never really took off and the network has never 'really' been put through its' paces.

We have a single Aruba 3400 Wireless Controller with 33 x Access Points (105 model) dotted around the School providing 100% coverage within the buildings. Should this be enough to cope with the high density's involved with an iPad 1:1 scheme?

I would particularly love to speak with UK Schools that have an Aruba system in place or any technical bods that are in a position to advise on the subject. We're based in Hampshire UK.

    Kind Regards,

    Sam
