    Hello Airheads!

     

    Does the Aruba Controllers support integration with Opera PMS and Xpossible Internet Gateway? From what I’ve read, this is supported with Clearpass Access (Guest). But the client would like to explore the possibility of using just the controller because of budgetary constraints.

     

     

    Their requirements goes like this:

     

     

    The Xpossible Internet Gateway will handle the captive portal and the Aruba Controller will change the role of the connected device (ex. Allows internet access) once Xpossible Informs Aruba that the login credentials were accepted.

     

    The Oracle Opera PMS will serve as the user repository database while the Xpossible Internet Gateway will pull info from it.

    If the Xpossible Internet Gateway is the captive portal, it needs to support the Aruba controller in order to pass the user authentication to the controller for validation. If the gateway can't notify the controller, the controller can't trigger the radius request to authenticate to the user.
