I'm having a problem where some devices are connecting on Client PHY: n 20 MHz and running at very slow speeds. Other devices are connecting upon ac 80MHz and receiving much fast connection speeds. Would this be a laptop problem or controller setup issue? Below is what I receive when running the show AP association client-mac.

    PHY Details: HT : High throughput; 20: 20MHz; 40: 40MHz; t: turbo-rates (256-QAM)
    VHT : Very High throughput; 80: 80MHz; 160: 160MHz; 80p80: 80MHz + 80MHz
    <n>ss: <n> spatial streams

What band are those devices connecting on?  They could have 2.4ghz single-stream only wireless adapters, which might explain their issues.

I have several of the same Dell laptops connected on the network and some
of them connect up only on 2.4 and others connect on 5 utilizing the AC 80
MHz bandwidth at faster speeds. Currently, this device is connecting on the
2.4 GHz but it does have 5 GHz capability. They are Dell 3390 2in1 devices.

Ultimately, the laptop decides what access point and what band it connects to.  We can influence it to connect to 5ghz by making sure that the 5ghz transmit power on the access point is 6 db higher than the 2.4ghz band.
