Lost WebUI after restoring flash

On Dell W-650, while running ArubaOS 6.4.0.1, we had a problem with Captive Portal.  In an attempt to bypass the issue and get Captive Portal working again, we booted back to our previous partition that was running 6.3.  That did not help the initial problem, so I backed up the flash to flashbackup.tar.gz, then restored to it, rebooted.  Now, the WebUI is down, and the only access I have is the CLI.

How do you restore the WebUI from the CLI?

    Output from #show web-server:

    Web Server Configuration

    -----------------------------------

    Parameter                                                                 Value

    --------------                                                                 -------

    Cipher Suite Strength                                                high

    SSL/TLS Protocol Config                                           sslv3 tlsv1

    Switch Certificate                                                       default

    Captive Portal Certificate                                           default

Management user's WebUI access method              username/password

User session timeout <30-3600> (seconds)              900

Maximum supported concurrent clients <25-320>     25

Enable WebUI access on HTTPS port (443)             false

Web Lync Listen Protocol/Port Config                       N/A

To be clear, you CAN get into the admin GUI or not?  Is it just the guest captive portal not working, or the administration GUI?

    Thank you for your reply!

I have two separate issues. First, the Captive Portal stopped working when we changed the guest wireless password. And then later while attempting to fix the Captive Portal issue, my backup and restore of flash seems to have killed the WebUI. I currently have only CLI access to the controller.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have been reading through the forums but none of the posts seem to mirror my issue(s).

    Thank you,

Type "show log error all", "show log security all" and "show log system all" to see if you can get a clue what is wrong.

Here is the output for the first command you have listed.  The LDAP errors are not concerning since we do not use that functionality.  The certificate errors make sense because this previous partition was still trying to use the self-signed certificate, which was no longer valid.  I planned on having to re-add the certificate we were using on the other ArubaOS 6.4 partition.  I did not realize the controller was rebooting itself, as shown in the first line of the output.

There have been flash space constraints on the 620/650 controllers where (documented in release notes) you had to upgrade the same firmware twice. During the first upgrade, there was insufficient flash space available, after the second you gained back the WebUI.

What you can try is to reflash the exact same firmware that you are using via the CLI and TFTP to see if that helps.

Herman, the OP said that he or she was having issues before the flash was restored. The Op did not upgrade the firmware.  Also if the user needed to upgrade the second partition, when the user SSHs in or logs into the GUI, it would say so.  I am more curious if there is anythig in the logs that would indicate what is going wrong here.
