    Hello all

I know, Apple devices are not the best Wifi Clients and don't like roaming.

One of our customer installation I have multiple buldings. From building 1 to 3 you can use a passage. Each bulding has his own IP-Range and Layer 3 Mobility is active and configurated. There is a Instant cluster with Aruba Central connected.

If I take a MacBook Air and a Win10 HP Notebook and walk from Building 3 to 1 the Windows notebook has max. 1 package loss. The Mac Book Air loose a lot of package and sometimes the need to refresh the DHCP Lease to get connection.

Have someone an idea how I can solve this?

    Thanks in advance.

What is your channel width on the 5ghz band?

What is the transmit power for your access points?

What you observe is a symptom of poor roaming.  That is typically because the maximum transmit power of the access point is too high and the MacBook Air holds on to the current access point too long.  To solve, you would typically lower the ARM maximum transmit power of your access points.

    Hello

80 MHz Channel was actived. I disabled it now.

Current AP Tx 2.4 GHz: 19 db

Current AP Tx 5 GHz: 23 db

Neighbor AP Tx 2.4 GHz: 19 db

Neighbor AP Tx 5 GHz: 27 db

Those are too high.  Make the ARM max TX power for the 5ghz band 21 and the ARM max TX power for the 2.4ghz band 18.
