MacOS Sierra EAP-TLS Authentication fails

    Hi guys,

     

    we are using an aruba-master in our microsoft-windows AAA environment. Certificates are shared with all endpoints and the authentication server. The ArubaOS Version is 6.5.0.1. MacOS X El Capitan are able to successfully authenticate via EAP-TLS.

     

    Now we would like to update our Apple Devices to MacOS Sierra. Unfortunately our test device on MacOS Sierra isn't able to authenticate via EAP-TLS.

     

    Is it possible that there is a relation to our aruba infrastructure?

    Are you using a RADIUS server or terminating on the controllers?

    We solved the problem on our own.

    Aruba wasn't the problem.

    There was a problem concerning the common name of the radius server certificate.

    Well, the certificate only had a subject alternative name. Not a common name.

    Hi 

     

    We are currently facing authentication issue with our Mac Serria using machine certificate. Have contacted Apple technical support and their feedback to us is to downgrade our Serria to El Capitan in order to resolve our issue. 

     

    I have read your thread and it seems like you have successfully authenticate your Serria Mac device with certificate. I sincerely hope you can advise me on the procedure that you have taken to make this work as we are stuck with this issue for almost 2 months! Please help!:(
