Master Controller Redundancy across multiple data centres

    Hello,

The Aruba design guides recommend VRRP or LMS between controller pairs for failover.

I am hoping to split my local and master controller pairs across two data centres. The LMS feature will allow me to failover between the local WLCs because it is a layer 3 process.

The design guides only recommend using VRRP for the master controller pair. This is slightly challenging across multiple data centres due to the layer 2 link required. What is the best way to achieve master controller failover? You could configure a layer 2 tunnel between the data centres but I am hoping there is a simpler way.

    Thanks

I think that if you have layer 3 setup between master you will need to setup a GRE tunnel

Thank you - the GRE looks like the answer
