Number of APs Intermitantly Offline

We have 2x 3400 controllers, and an issue where intermitantly 10-15 APs will appear offline. Rebooting the APs does appear to resolve them (via the switchports).

    The APs are still pingable.

Before looking at turning on debugging on a selection (not ideal I know as not sure which will go), has anyone come across this before? I know I need to see what the APs are doing. They are on the same site, and in the same AP group (with other APs that did not show as offline). It has happened twice in the last 2 weeks.

    Hi,

Please go through AP debug, System and ARM logs to diagnose the issue.

Please share the following outputs if possible,

    1. show log ap-debug all ( logging level debugging ap-debug all)

    2. show log system

    3. show ap arm rf-summary ap-name <name>

Feel free for any further help on this.

This appears to be an issue with a "comestic bug" according to Aruba. They have raised into engineering.

By "offline" do you mean according to airwave, or...?

Are they failing from one controller to the other?

Console into the AP and see what it's doing.
