    Hi All,

Just curious if anyone has seen or can explain this issue as I've never seen it before. We have our corporate and guest SSID configured and not hidden. The devices in question, total of 2 laptops were working fine connecting to the corporate SSID. After replacing the AP-105 with AP-205. The 1 laptop is unable to see the corporate SSID or guest SSID, but any other device in the work area can. Move the laptop to another office and it's able to see the SSIDs. Reprovison the access point and the affected laptop can now see both SSIDs.

We've now had 2 cases where only 1 out of at least 10 device have had this issue.

    Any thoughts? Thanks

    John

First, what firmware are you running? Is this Instant or Controller based?

What channel(s) was your AP-205 operating in when the client devices could not see either of the SSIDs? Since other devices were able to see the SSIDs, it sounds likely that the AP-205 came up on a DFS channel which was unsupported by your two client devices.

Reprovisioning the AP may have changed the regulatory domain assigned and stopped it from using the DFS channel, or the reboot resulting from the reprovisioning caused the AP to come up on a different channel which the client devices do support.

The APs were controller based, we're on 6.5.1.1 right now. It doesn't look like it was a DFS issue, I has channel 52 to 144 disabled. It was weird that it was 2 specific devices on 2 separate access points. Thanks for your input.
