    Dear,

We have an Aruba Mobility Controller and 70+ Aruba AP's.

2 of them are nearby but share the same channel (11). See attachment.

channels.pngHow can we force 1 of the AP's to recalculate the channel?

    Thanks!

    Regards,

    Ben

You cannot.  There are only 3 channels, so many times access points will end up next to another access point on the same channel. because there are so few channels in the 2.4 ghz  band.

    EDIT:  Pressed Post by accident.

Access point channels are chosen by channel quality and not because of the channels of an adjacent access point.  It is possible that even though there are access points next to it on channel 11, that is still the best channel to be on.  In addition, an access point will see far more access points than your laptop, so it is probably using a larger radius to determine what is a better channel than your laptop is.
