    Hello.

I want to configure a controller 7010 in standalone mode, with a very simple configuration. I have upgraded it to 8.6.0.2.

I have introduced the licenses via GUI and via CLI.

When I introduced them via GUI, when putting in the PEFNG, RFP, WebCC, I was asked to mark the option “1 xxx licenses are available in global license pool”. I am not asked in regards the AP licenses.

On other side, when doing this via CLI, I get the next response: “Please make sure to enable the feature bit to have the license take effect”. I did not received such a response with AP license.

Are both messages related with the same question?

What are the consequences of marking, when introducing via GUI?

What do I have to do when doing this via CLI?

How can I “enable the feature bit to have the license take effect”?

What are the consequences of enabling the feature bit to have the license take effect?

Can a modify the selected option later? I have seen that when showing the licenses via GUI I can modify “Feature enable”.

I attach to images GUI and CLI.

    Thanks for the responses.

Only AP licenses are enabled by default when those licenses are added to a constoller, All other licenses must be manually enabled.

You can do this via the CLI or via the slider in the GUI.

    license-pool-profile-root
        pefng-licenses-enable
        rfp-license-enable
        acr-license-enable
    !

You can enable/disable the licenses later if required.

    Thanks for your answer.

In CLI mode, I get an error. It looks that such a commad only works in MM mode, and mime is standalone.

No matter, I will enable licenses when I load then, using GUI or enable them in the GUI options, if I load via CLI.

    I attach the error.

    Regards.

Confusing I know, but you need to enable it at /mm on a Standalone.

    (Aruba7030) *[mynode] #show roleinfo
    switchrole:standalone
    (Aruba7030) *[mynode] #cd /mm (Aruba7030) *[mm] #configure t Enter Configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z (Aruba7030) *[mm] (config) #license-pool-profile-root (Aruba7030) *[mm] (License root(/) pool profile) #
