    Hi

Strange one - today all of our RAPS in one office location rebooted.

The lease time is set to 7 days.

All of the other offices AP (RAPS) have an up time of 14 days currently - they are also set to renew a lease every 7 days.

So my question is should the AP of rebooted if it has been given a new IP?  When checking the logs I see the below:

    Reboot Information
    ------------------
    AP rebooted Wed Sep 19 14:59:21 UTC 2018; Entering REBINDING state; t1 25197 t2 25200 lease 28800 (saved_ip 192.168.12.18 yiaddr 192.168.12.11 saved_router 192.168.12.1 new_router 192.168.12.1)
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Thanks

Why would the RAPs not renew their existing IP address? With a 7 day lease, they should be successfully renewing around 3.5 days into the lease.

If the IP changes, then the connection will be interrupted as a new IPSec connection needs to be negotiated between the RAP and controller for passing the GRE tunnels and PAPI needed.
