    We have laptop users that dock their laptops and connect via Ethernet into lan. at the same time, they are on wireless and need the same access to network resources.

    What’s the best practice for wired and wireless trusted networks, should they be separate subnets or not. Pros and cons, please.

     

    The total number of users is 10.

    Hi,

    It's best practice to use separate subnets to minimise the potentials broadcast traffic over the wireless.

    As you only have 10 users it might not be problem to share the same subnet though.

    Personally I'd use different VLAN to future proof the design in case the userbase grows.
