I have just got some IAP-305(RW)s and they seem nice. I note I can set UTF-8 coding for SSIDs, which is also nice.

However, the UI complains if I put am emoji, e.g. 💩 in an SSID or ESSID.

Clearly the APs can handle this - if you save the config, edit the text file and add emojis to the essid, then restore config, it all works. Though you cannot then edit that field as the UI complains.

Can the UI stop being so fussy when you have selected UTF-8 encoding please and allow any UTF-8 characters.

    Hi,

enable UTF encoding and add unicode under double quotation. Eg.

    wlan ssid-profile "TEST EMOJI"
    utf8
    essid "%E2%9A%94"

    show runn | begin "EMOJI"

    wlan ssid-profile "TEST EMOJI"
    enable
    index 0
    essid %E2%9A%94
