    Hi All

    I read some about this.

Since this is a small configuration with only 6 AP's the bestway is to get it done from screch i assume

    Correct?

    regards

Yes. You could copy out the configuration, and most of it could be pasted in the new configuration.

Just curious, you say it is a 7005. Those controllers only support 16 APs. Was that a typo, or is this controller part of a larger implementation?

Yes the licenses can be moved over as well. No new licenses would be needed if this is a standalone controller.

Unfortunately no, you are not able to do a backup flash, and then restore it to the AOSv8 environment. If the implementation is simple enough, pasting lines of configuration into the v8 environment from the v6 environment will get most of the work done. Then work with whatever did not take, and work around that. For example, certificates, captive-portal pages, etc...
