Hi there
Some of our customers whant to order a VMC instead of a physical controller.
I read some last year's posts that says it's not a good ID :
https://community.arubanetworks.com/t5/Wireless-Access/Virtual-Mobility-Controller/m-p/264589
But i can't find any clear official status about this point.
Can someone tell me what is the supported use case for VMC ?
What can i tell to my customers who want to use them ?
Best regards
Pierre
vMCsupports a maximum of 1000 APs. If you have a network comprising less than that, you might go for virtualized environment.
For larger networks (greater than 1000 APs I mean), you have to go for the Physical boxes.
Below datasheet for vMC might help you:

Thank you Jibran
Most of our coustomer's network are fare bellow 1000 Aps.
To be certain : con you confirm they can use VMC as a standalone controller, with no need for any backup / master anywhere ?
