    Dear Community,

In order to have WebCC working we need to:

    • Enable DPI & WebCC inside the Controller firewall and inside the user role.
    • Configure a DNS server on the controller
    • Ensure our controller can access aruba.brightcloud.com on port 443

Do you know if there is a possibility to download a database from aruba.brightcloud.com and upload it to the controller so the controller can work with WebCC without Internet access?

Thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge,

    Best regards,

    Hello Colin,

Thanks again for your prompt answer.

We are going to open Internet access to our controller for having WebCC working, but we would like to restrict the access. Do you know if a specific IP range is used by aruba.brightcloud.com?

The idea is to authorize only a certain amount of IP addresses.

    Best regards,

    Hello!

I would also like to know if it is possible to only allow IP adresses on the firewall. If I lookup the IP for aruba.brightcloud.com  I get this:

    Non-authoritative answer:
    Name: bcap15.brightcloud.com
    Addresses: 52.210.152.183
    52.18.42.238
    Aliases: aruba.brightcloud.com

If I open 443 ports to destination 52.210.152.183/52.18.42.238 would that be enough?

Are these IPs going to change in the future?

    BR.:

    Daniel

Unfortunately, those addresses change based on what BrightCloud has configured.
