Will the AP-505 work in an AP-105 environment

    Hello all.

    We currently have numerous AP-105 in our location that have work flawlessly. We are currently expanding our wireless coverage to handle wireless VoIP that we will be installing. My questions is will the AP-505 work with the AP-105 that we already have up and running? Or is this going to be an issue? Thanks in advance!

    It better work! That is the exact scenario we had in mind when deciding to to allow and support AP-105 and AP-505 to run on the same (8.6 or later) code.

    Happy to hear that the AP-105 has been working well for you, but it has now been end-of-sale for almost 5 years. Time to consider an upgrade

    Yes, you can.

    Model 105 is a long time support upto version 8.6.

    For recommended, you should to separate to two location for better performance.

    I should clarify that it is actually an IAP-105. Is this still upgradable to the newest firmware?

    An IAP-105 is different, the latest Instant code it will support is InstantOS 4.2 and the minimum supported firmware for an AP-505 is InstantOS 8.6

    So unfortunately these will not form a cluster when operating as an IAP.
