I have several Windows 10 devices that are having an issue with being classified as "Linux" machines on an internal ssid.  When I look in Clearpass Configuration \ Identity \ Endpoints \ the Mac address shows as status known and device OS Windows.

When I run show aaa device-id-cache | include <mac> it shows the user agent string:  Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/52.0.2743.82 Safari/537.36

Is there something else aside from user agent string that dictates what device classification is used?

I have not verified yet but I do not believe the user's would have modified the string on their own.

Lol, if CP is using user agent, we've got a problem. That's about as easy to change as clicking a button.
