I have a controller that is essential acting is bot a wireless and wired firewall/gateway. I have wireless and wired clients on the same VLAN. Wireless clients get their respective roles. By default, what role do wired clients get when connecting on the same VLAN (no authentication on wired clients)?

I am having some trouble with some IP phones being provided to us by our ISP. They are dropping on longer call apparently because their keep-alives on port 5060 are not getting back and forth.

On my "external" port I have modified the firewall ACL to allow 5060 tcp/udp but on port scanning the public IP, I am still seeing them as closed.

    Any insight is appreciated.

that would depend on what role is configured on the wired port. Is there an ACL/role defined there or is the port marked 'trusted'?
