    hi

i am using aruba controller 6000 with AOS 6.1.3.2 . i tried to remove one dhcp pool from the controller and recreate it again . the deletion was successful , but when i create the pool again i got an error saying that the pool same as scope . after that i have notices the pool was created without the name of the pool also without the default router (attached snapshot) . i've tried to delete the pool with no luck . when i delete the pool and click on apply, the pool just come back , i cannot delete it from the CLI because there no name for the pool.

any idea what cause the problem and how to solve it .

    thanks

    Mohammad

    q8_guru,

In ArubaOS 6.3.1.0 you cannot create  scopes that have leases that total more than 512.  If you need to do DHCP for more than 512 leases, you should use an external DHCP server:

    Hi q8_Guru,

As per my understanding, you are trying to delete the existing pool and recreating right ? try the following commands on CLI,

    (To Delete the Pool)

    (Aruba3200) (config) #no ip dhcp pool <Pool Name>

    (Aruba3200) (config) #write memory

    (To confirm )

(Aruba3200) (config) #show ip dhcp database

(To create a New Pool )

    (Aruba3200) (config) #ip dhcp pool < Pool Name >

    (Aruba3200) (config) #network <Subnet Id> / <subnet length>

Hope your issue will be resolved :)

    Cheers,

I would ssuggest scheduling an outage window and upgrade to the latest 6.1.3.x.  6.1.3.2 is considerably old and could be the cause of your issue.
