    I've been looking for configuration details for controllers with regards to having an external captive portal of some description.

    I've come across the article -

    Which seems give details, however if this is the case I can't seem to see where the actual authentication mechanism is, i.e. what triggers a move from a pre-authentication role to an authenticated role. I would need to tell the customer what to configure on their CP - there is a third party involved so I am not sure what they are using as a web server. Clearpass will not be involved.

    Any help would be appreciated.
