Hi All,
I have below queries with regards to the bridge SSID.
1. will the remote users be able to communicate to corporate users in bridge SSID? If yes how?
2. Can we have the controller as a gateway for the remote users in the bridge ssid? if yes then how the users going to reach the internet if the traffic is not going to hit the controller for bridge SSID?
Awaiting your reply.
1. If the access point is NOT on a corporate vlan, NO.
2. If the access point is NOT on your corporate LAN, NO. If you want the controller as a gateway, why not make the SSID tunneled?
Here are the rules:
If the access point is in your corporate network, make the Virtual AP (VAP) tunneled.
If the access point is NOT in your corporate network and the user needs access to and through the corporate network, yes, make it tunneled.
If the access point is NOT in your corporate network and the user needs access to corporate but needs his traffic to go through his local ISP, make it split tunneled.
If the access point is NOT in your corporate network and the user does NOT need access to corporate info, make the VAP bridged.
