Hi all - Currently have dual 3400 controllers running a very old version 6.3.1.23. We have a few hundred 3WNs and 2WGs attached.  Now that both are discontinued, does anyone know another RAP model that would work with the 3400 and that older code?

    Thanks in advance,

    Dave

The RAP3WNs still work up to ArubaOS 8.6, so you are really looking to replace your Rap2wns and probably your controller after that.

Thank you for the reply.  We don't have controller replacement on the agenda until later this year, or next year at earliest.  Our current issue is that since the 3WN has been discontinued and extremely hard to find, and we need to add a few more RAPs now to our existing controllers  So the question becomes, are there any RAPs currently made that will work with that older version of code?

Any access point can be turned into a Remote AP, so if you have any Campus APs lying around, those will work, as well.

The RAP-109 or the RAP-155 will work with 6.3.x if you can find any of those:  https://www.arubanetworks.com/assets/ds/DS_RAP-100.pdf
