upgrading controller to v8

    Hello

    I got a controller which is on v6 with no license installed

    What happens if i upgrade it to v8? i just loose the config i got in it? 

    Right now i dont care if i loose the config i just want to know if nothing bad happens if i just upgrade it from 6 to 8.   Doesnt matter to me if i loose the config

    No nothing bad will happen to the controller.

    The licensing system and licenses for v6 and v8 are different either ways.

    It should not be a problem.

    When update your controller from 6.x to 8.x the controller will be factory default.

     

    If you had 6.x licences it can be migrated to 8.x licences within an active support contract.
