    Hello,

I'm having an authentication problem on an AP-305 (RW).
This problem appears in the following situations:
1/ When I convert the AP to standalone mode...
2/ When I modify for example the name of the AP and after its restart.

I've tried to fill in all the password conbinaisations (admin, S/N, forgetme!,...), nothing works. The only thing to do to be able to reconnect again is to do a reset.

The AP works with the Aruba 8.5.0.3_72498 OS.

Thank you in advance for your help
    Damien

    Hi,

So you have converted it from controller based AP to Instant AP right?

You are seeing the wireless network "SetMeUp-xx:xx:xx" being broadcasted after you did the conversion or is the AP rediscovering the controller IP again?

You tried username admin and password as serial number of AP?

Are there any other "instant APs" on the same management vlan as this AP?

    Yes

You are seeing the wireless network "SetMeUp-xx:xx:xx" being broadcasted after you did the conversion or is the AP rediscovering the controller IP again?

no, I no longer see the SSID "SetMeUp xxxx" after the conversion and/or when I restart the AP.

You tried username admin and password as serial number of AP?

Yes, it works after a reset, but when I convert to "standalone", the password is no longer recognized.

Are there any other "instant APs" on the same management vlan as this AP?

    No, it's the only one..

For example, here I have just restarted the AP when I didn't configure anything and I can't connect anymore. It doesn't recognize my credentials anymore.

    Hi,

It sounds strange. Did you try to upgrade to a different firmware and test? Did you try to change the password for the admin before converting to standalone?

If the issue persists, I suggest you open a case with TAC...

    Hi
I have a similar problem, I restored it from the factory and it does not publish the SSID is the same model AP 305

    Bonjour,

    Merci d'avance
