No problem. One thing to note is that the hardware guide is a generalized guide based on various customer deployments, and works for most office deployments. There's some performance tuning for any particular deployment which you can get added details from support.
Some of the big picture questions to ask as you plan:
- What is the type of deployment? (corp office, small office, school, university, hospital, airport, hot spot, etc)
- How many clients? Are these going to be unique clients daily (hot spot / airport)? Or same clients (office / school)?
- How many floor plans for VisualRF?
- How many switches will be monitored (for RAPIDS)? These are included in licensed device count.
- What amount of devices you expect to add in the future?
- Is this server going to be a VM? (if so, increase server size by at least 20%) Will the VM share resources with additional instances?
- Duration of data retention on the server itself?
Many of these questions help directly guide memory and disk space allocation, while others are questions a Sales Engineer would ask to help plan out the deployment.
