Better way to rename APs??

We are migrating from on-prem Airwave to Aruba Central, and I'm finding some UI things to be so unintuitive.

I have a new access point that has the default MAC address name.  I can search for the MAC address of the AP, and when I click on the AP itself I get a lot of information about it, with no obvious way to rename it.  This would be an ideal place for an edit button.

Instead, I go through the too-many-clicks process of changing to the group, clicking Devices, then Config, then Access Points.  I now see a list with hundreds (soon to be thousands) of access points.  There is no way to filter or sort this list at all.  How do I find my one new access point without having to endlessly scroll and wait as the list has to continuously keep loading in small increments.

There HAS to be an easier way, right...?

renaming of the APs are done from the group-> config-> Access Points
    there you can filter

Also note that you have access to Aruba Central API automation site that provides a lot or automation for deployment, like renaming of the APs, etc.

Thanks for the quick reply.  This is interesting, because I believe I am in the same location as you, however I do not have any filter icons in my columns.  I also have a different set of columns available to me in that view, but maybe that is unrelated.

Same result - I still cannot filter columns.

I'm with you, Eric...I don't have that filter option either, and when we first setup our environment, it was ridiculous having to scroll through to find the new AP in that long list. And we only have ~700 APs...I can't imagine what that would be like with thousands!

Looks like it will change with Central 2.5.6. Check here for a similar discussion (about the same AP list in Configuration mode)

Our vendor gave us the tip that if you change the focus to a single VC (rather than an entire group), you can also rename APs with potentially a much shorter list to scroll through.

I don't think it would be as frustrating if it didn't feel like a step backwards from what we were used to with Airwave.
