Cluster IAP-325 and AP-515

    Hello,

     

    I'm trying to create a cluster between these two AP.

    I've installed and configured IAP-325 (OS Version :8.5.0.5 (build 73491)) as VC.

    But, when I'm adding AP515 - it's starting and rebooting every 2-3 minutes. I don't have a cable and console access.

     

    In the IAP 325 UI sometimes I see AP515 in the "monitor" mode and notification, that this AP (515) is down.

     

    After I'm turning off IAP 325 and restarting 515 I've a full access to AP515 via WebUI. I can see, that it has the same OS version.

     

    How to throubleshoot this?

    Do you have allowed new APs enabled? Also under the Faults section of the GUI it will tell you why an AP failed to join the cluster. You may need to upgrade the AP515 to 8.5.0.5 prior to introducing it into the AP315 cluster.

    AP515 has exactly the same OS version (I think that image was downloaded from IAP 325).

     

    I the fault history only one message several times:

    Access point f4:2e:XXXX is down. *(f4:2e - 515 MAC)

    SSH to the VC IP and perform a 'show log system', is there any clues in
    there?

    I've resolved the issue.

    After changing the tag settings from untag ap mgmt only to untag all and then back to untag ap mgmt only and a reboot fixed the issue.

    Probably some code got 'stuck' and was solved either after the reboot or after changing the tag setting.

    Hi Craig,

    Do you have any ideas for this case?
